The challenge
A product with no variant.
Every table combines size, thickness, base, leaves, chairs, bench and rug, and no combination matches a single Shopify variant. To handle it, the store ran Zakeke on its most expensive plan: $299.90 a month plus 1.5% of every sale, and the configurator was very slow.

What stays in the client’s pocket.
We don’t have the store’s real revenue, so we built three scenarios using the average value of a table or set ($2,000, from the prices published on the site). The mid scenario is about 21 orders a month.

The customer pays in Shopify’s secure checkout, with the right shipping.
Automation: an agent fills in new products’ dimensions automatically, so the shipping rates calculated by Eniture are always right.
Project
What I did.
I built the Restored Timbers Shopify store and a custom 3D table configurator, with its own checkout that works out the price of every configuration on the server. This configurator is where Ochi 3D was born.
- A Three.js 3D table configurator, with the model and the price changing on every choice
- Draft-order checkout: a Vercel server recalculates the price from Shopify data before creating the order
- Eniture integration: shipping rates (FedEx and other carriers) calculated from each product’s dimensions
- An opening animation for the extension leaves in the Butterfly collection
- Base prices managed as Shopify variants, with no deploy
- A theme based on Minimalista: header, mega menus, homepage, About us, legal and product pages
- Tracking and analytics: CallRail, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity
