I migrate stores from WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Magento to Shopify without pausing sales. Products, orders and customers move across, and every old URL is redirected to its new one so your Google rankings aren't lost. Migrations start at €3,000 + VAT, with the price fixed in writing before I start.

Why stores move to Shopify

In first conversations, the reasons are almost always the same:

  • Updates and plugins that break things. Every WordPress or plugin update can take part of the store down.
  • Hosting and security are on you. On Shopify, hosting, SSL and security are included in the plan.
  • A slow store on the busiest days. Exactly when the most people want to buy.
  • Lost time. Hours every month keeping the store running instead of making it sell.

What moves to Shopify

  • Products: titles, descriptions, prices, variants, photos and collections.
  • Orders: the history, so you can still see what each customer bought.
  • Customers: contact details and addresses.
  • URLs and SEO: 301 redirects from every old page to the new one, titles and descriptions.
  • Content: static pages and, where there is one, the blog.

How I run a migration, step by step

  1. Inventory of the current store: products, variants, apps, integrations and every page that gets Google traffic.
  2. Written plan, including a rollback plan: if anything goes wrong on switch-over day, we know exactly how to go back.
  3. The new store is built in parallel: the old store keeps selling while the new one is built in a private preview.
  4. Data import and checks: products, orders and customers, spot-checked.
  5. 301 redirects: every old URL points to its new one.
  6. Switch-over day: domain change, test orders, payments and shipping checked.
  7. Aftercare: I watch Search Console and fix anything that shows up in the following weeks.

Why work with me

I've worked only with Shopify since 2016, and as CTO at W-A-D Lab / Sonae I synced stock between a marketplace and seven stores. In a migration, details matter: one missed redirect or a badly imported variant costs sales. You talk to me from the inventory to switch-over day. More about my background on the Shopify developer page.

I work with clients in Portugal, Ireland, the UK, Spain and the US, in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my Google rankings when moving to Shopify?

The goal is not to. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new one, and titles and descriptions move with the store. After launch I monitor Search Console and fix any page that was missed.

Does the store go offline during the migration?

No. The new store is built in parallel, in a private preview. The switch happens in a single day and the old store keeps selling until then.

How much does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?

With me, migrations start at €3,000 + VAT. The final price depends on the number of products, the integrations and what needs rebuilding, and it's fixed in writing before I start.

Do you also migrate from PrestaShop and Magento?

Yes. The process is the same: inventory, written plan with a rollback plan, parallel build, import, redirects and aftercare.
